Yakuza 8 development has been ridiculously silent. After Ryu Ga Gotoku Studios confirmed late last year that they were working on the next mainline Yakuza game the updates or details about it are almost inexistent until today.
According to Famitsu MMA fighter, Mikuru Asakura uploaded a very interesting video on his Youtube channel in which he tours RGG Studios.
Surprise after surprise!
While this is not an official announcement, we were able to see off-screen images from the game showcasing familiar characters, including Ichiban with a brand new hairstyle, and also SEGA's president Haruki Satomi appeared confirming that the game will feature a new town as well.
You may be wondering why Mikuru Asakura was touring around the studios, well, he will be part of the game too! As mentioned in the video, Asakura is a fan of the franchise and it didn’t take long until Masayoshi Yokoyama a representative of RGG Studio approached him to be part of the next game.
According to the latest development update released back in May, this new Yakuza game will be another turn-based RPG, similar to Yakuza: Like a Dragon.
Are you excited about this one? We will leave the complete video below!
