During the event that served as the backdrop for , the official announcement of Silent Hill 2 remake on PC and as a time exclusive on PS5, Konami tickled the curiosity of horror adventure fans by unveiling Silent Hill Ascension, an interactive horror experience developed by Genvid and created under the auspices of Bad Robot.

In describing this original project, the Genvid team explains that its adventures are a unique mix between a video game and a streaming game': users (or viewers?) will have the opportunity to follow the events of individual characters on screen and, contextually, influence their fate and direct the course of the story.

The teaser trailer shared by Konami admittedly provides no further clarification on the nature of this title. On the other hand, Genvid and Bad Robot promise to keep in touch with the community through updates shared on Ascension's official website. To our rescue, however, comes Konami's social team in describing Ascension as "a title that introduces a new interactive video streaming experience for the series."
