As promised months ago, SNK will continue to develop content for The King of Fighters XV.

WHEN WILL SEASON 2 START?

Fortunately, we already have the official news that the new season will begin in January 2023.

SNK showed Shingo Yabuki, the first DLC character to arrive in the new season, who will join the 13 DLC characters.

This fighter was one that fans requested a lot since he had not returned since The King of Fighters XI. Best of all, his original voice actor, Takehito Koyasu, will also return to bring him back to life.

Additionally, it was announced that there would be adjustments to the "full character roster."

That's not all, as SNK used the moment to reiterate that cross-play is on the way, as well as the return of Kim Kaphwan, and shared more defined release windows.

The implementation of cross-play (Open Beta) and the arrival of the second DLC fighter of Season 2 are scheduled for spring 2023. Although it did not give details, SNK anticipated plans for more DLC characters.

The King of Fighters XV debuted on February 17, 2022, on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
