When PlayStation 5 debuted, Sony decided it was important to pamper the users who bought it. That's why as part of PlayStation Plus it offered a new benefit called PlayStation Plus Collection. Unfortunately, that feature's days are numbered.
It was in a recent PlayStation Blog post where Sony announced that the PlayStation Collection will disappear very soon. It will be on May 9 when this benefit for PlayStation Plus will cease to exist, so new players will not be able to take advantage of it.
ALL THE GAMES IN THE PLAYSTATION PLUS COLLECTION CAN BE YOURS
We should make it clear that just because the PlayStation Plus Collection is going away does not mean that its games will disappear. In fact, players who claim PlayStation Plus games and add them to their collection before May 9 will be able to keep them forever and access them for as long as their subscription is active.
To add the PlayStation Plus Collection games to your library, all you need to do is look for the section of this benefit from your PlayStation 5. Then you just need to visit the page of each game and add them one by one to your library. Once you do so, you will be able to download and play them.
In case you missed it: PlayStation Plus February: Mafia, Evil Dead and more games officially revealed
The PlayStation Plus Collection, being one of the features that debuted at the launch of PlayStation 5, will no longer be offered to users. This update can be found at the bottom of the PlayStation Blog post in which it reveals the following titles that will be enjoyed by the PlayStation Plus service as of February 7. But you will be able to obtain even more titles once you add the PlayStation Collection games before May 9.
