The Sims 4 is known for being a wholesome type of game. To think that a sudden update of unacceptable content and adjusting the profanity filter makes us wonder how grave the situation was.
Surprisingly, many players were sharing via Twitter inappropriate content found on The Sims 4 Gallery tagging the official accounts to make them aware of the issue. After realizing this, they soon made a quick profanity filter update.
When releasing the patch notes, EA stated, "we are aware of and have seen some select instances of wholly unacceptable content that has been uploaded to The Sims™ 4 Gallery. Our team has reviewed, and made critical updates to, the profanity filter to help prevent this from happening again in the future."
EA also encourages the use of the “Flag This” button when finding unacceptable content that somehow makes it past the current profanity filter. This is to assist developers so they can do the necessary adjustments for it and keep the Gallery a safe place for all players.

In case you missed it: The King of Fighters XV Season 2 already has a release month.
The Sims 4 is now free-to-play and is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
