
A trailer has been released, along with the opening song for the Urusei Yatsura remake; AIUE feat. SAKURAmoti, Honami, performed by MAISONdes. The show will premiere on October 13th on HDIVE.
Hideya Takahashi (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind) and Yasuhiro Kimura (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind) will direct the series for David Production, with scripts overseen by Yuuko Kakihara (Cells at Work! ). Naoyuki Asano (Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!, Osomatsu-san) will design the characters.
Urusei Yatsura was published in Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine between 1978 and 1987, with the first animated television adaptation airing between 1981 and 1986, consisting of 195 episodes, four movies, and a series of 12 OVA. Mamoru Oshii directed the first 106 episodes as well as the first two films in the series.
The plot revolves around Earth being threatened by alien invaders known as the Oni, and young Ataru being chosen to represent humanity in a battle with the aliens. He ends up winning unusually. However, he ends up on a promise to marry the daughter of the Oni leader, who moves in with him. As a result, the young man must strike a balance between his courtship of Shinobu Miyake and his new life.

Urusei Yatsura will premiere in Japan on Fuji TV's noitaminA block on October 13th, followed by other countries, adapting some of the manga's most stellar stories. The series will be broadcast on HIDIVE in English-speaking countries.
