Galvanized by the official announcement of Max Payne 1 and 2 Remake, the independent developer known on social media as Acoulte93 decided to attract the wait for the return of the Remedy-branded shooter epic by making an RTX mod for the original chapter.
A lot of work behind it
Independent modder and programmer is rebuilding the lighting system of the first act of the Max Payne shooter saga to make it even more immersive with the help of the latest path tracing technologies accessible through the new NVIDIA RTX Remix modding platform.
The author of this project shows the fruits of his labor with a series of shots that testify to the goodness of the new RTX system implemented to reconstruct dynamic lighting and shadows. The next step will be using AI Texture Super Resolution, one of the many tools built into RTX Remix to improve texture quality through Neural AI and the processing power of next-generation NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics cards.
In case you missed it: Nintendo announces its New Year Sale, and it starts today.
These games follow Max Payne, a fugitive undercover cop framed for murder, hunted by cops and the mob. Max is a man with his back against the wall, fighting a battle he cannot hope to win.
