Undoubtedly, one of the first surprises of 2023 was the announcement and immediate release of Hi-Fi RUSH, the latest title from Tango Gameworks and Bethesda. The good reception by players and critics was reflected in an outstanding commercial performance. Now, we know that the title reached an important goal.
HI-FI RUSH IS A SUCCESS!
Through a publication on its social networks, Bethesda confirmed this week that 2 million people have already played the acclaimed action-paced title since its launch at the end of January. It also attached an image in which it thanked players for their support. As expected, the community reacted well to the announcement and congratulated the developers for the work they did to bring the colorful world of Hi-Fi RUSH to life.
It's important to note that the release doesn't break down the data, so we don't know how many of the 2 million players bought the title; we should remember that it debuted directly on Xbox Game Pass. Either way, it was clearly a success on all fronts. Hi-Fi RUSH debuted on a strong footing and snuck into Steam's best-selling titles lists during its debut. In addition, the company made it known that the game is one of Bethesda and Xbox's most successful releases in recent years.

Despite its success, it remains to be seen whether the rhythm action game will receive a sequel. John Johanas, director of the project, assured that there are no plans for a second installment yet. However, he says he would like there to be an animated series to serve as a sequel. Hi-Fi RUSH is now available for Xbox X|S Series and PC via the Epic Games Store and Steam.
